HADDYDINO / HISTORIC HADDONFIELD
Historic Haddonfield
A town with centuries of stories
Haddonfield's history extends far beyond its dinosaur connection. Its Quaker roots, colonial streets, historic buildings and role in the American Revolution are part of the town's character.
The New Jersey legislature met at the Indian King Tavern in 1777, when the colony's official designation became the State of New Jersey. Today the Historical Society of Haddonfield preserves local archives and helps researchers explore the town's past.
