02 / MAPLE AVENUE

The discovery-site memorial

Where: the eastern end of Maple Avenue, Haddonfield, NJ.

A quiet commemorative area near the ravine where the fossils were found. The plaque and boulder mark the story; the exact marl pit is not the same as the accessible memorial. Stay on designated paths, supervise children near slopes and the creek, and do not dig or remove materials.
