Our editorial approach

We write original stories using historical research, personal reporting and attributed source material. We distinguish verified facts, interpretations and unresolved questions. Organizers and institutions mentioned in stories do not automatically sponsor or endorse HaddyDino.

Event submissions

Visitors may propose an event. We collect the event information, the contact person's name and email so an editor can verify and review it. Contact details and unapproved submissions are not displayed publicly. Approved event details — title, description, organizer, time, venue and relevant official source — may appear in the calendar. Proposals are not automatically published.

Community memories

With permission, visitors may submit a story and display name. A contact email is optional. All contributions require editorial approval. A published memory may display the submitted name and text, but not the contact email. Do not submit other people's private information, confidential records, or stories that could expose children. Please use the confidential request form below for corrections or removal requests.

Who may contribute?

Event proposals and community-memory forms are intended for adults aged 18 and older. Please do not submit personal information about children or other individuals without appropriate authorization. The site currently does not accept public photo uploads.

Photos

Public photo uploading is not enabled yet. To add it safely, we first need a moderated private upload area, clear publication permissions, and safeguards around children and recognizable people. Images from other sites are not reproduced simply because a source is credited; copyright and license requirements still apply.

Data handling and correction rights

Visitor contributions and private contact requests are stored in a secured Supabase database and reviewed only by authorized HaddyDino editors. We do not publicly display private submitter contact details or sell submitted information. Records may be retained while needed for editorial review, rights verification, or resolving requests; we review removal requests individually and do not currently promise automatic deletion on a fixed schedule.

Our pages also load certain third-party services, such as hosted fonts and licensed images; those services may receive ordinary browser requests. We do not operate a public member account system.

Your saved trip

The My Trip feature stores selected stops locally in your browser. The site does not create a trip account or send your saved itinerary to our database. Clearing local browser storage will remove the list.

Source information and visiting responsibly

Historical claims are attributed to their sources. Third-party links open separately when your browser supports it. Event details may change. Respect property boundaries and posted restrictions at archaeological and historic sites.

Request a correction, removal or rights review

Send a private request to the editorial team. This form is intended for adults and for legitimate privacy, copyright, content-correction or attribution concerns. Your name, email and request details are not posted publicly. Requests enter a private review queue; the form does not send an automatic confirmation email.
